A unified creative platform for the Northeast
Shaping talent and culture into cinema
Our Identity
To build a unified creative framework in the Northeast where talent, stories, and culture come together and are shaped into cinema that reaches beyond the region to a global audience.
To bring together talent from across the Northeast into a structured process that leads into creative work and cinema.
Work moves through a defined system — from entry to output.
Progression is earned through performance, discipline, and alignment with the system.
All work is grounded in the lived realities and identities of the Northeast.
Clear creative and technical standards determine what moves forward.
The system is built to produce long-term output, not momentary visibility.
Every output within Hillywood is measured against three non-negotiable standards:
Nothing derivative. Nothing imitated. Work must carry its own voice.
Work must emerge from the realities, identity, and context of the Northeast — interpreted for the present.
Every film, performance, garment, and composition must meet a professional standard of execution. If it feels incomplete or amateur, it does not move forward.
These are not guidelines. They are the criteria for progression and elimination.
Core Programme
Hillywood Fiesta is the core programme of Hillywood, bringing regional talent into a structured path toward cinema, grounded in the lived realities and cultural identity of the Northeast. Across disciplines, work is developed and brought together into a unified creative output. It defines how talent moves from entry into production.
Selected participants from across the Northeast enter a structured system designed to bring different creative disciplines into a shared space.
Actors, models, singers, musicians, and fashion designers live, train, and create within the same environment. Progression is based on both individual ability and how participants function within the system.
From this process, 50 finalists emerge.
At the final stage, the system converges. Directors — selected through a parallel process — lead teams formed from the finalists. Each team creates a short film where performance, music, and design come together into a single piece of work. These films are presented at Hillywood Fiesta.
One director is selected to direct the first Hillywood feature film. Mr. and Mrs. Hillywood are chosen as the lead actors. What begins as participation moves into production, where the film becomes the next step in the process.
Directors are selected through a parallel process and enter the system at the final stage, where they lead teams formed from the finalists and shape each short film from concept to completion.
Everything presented is created within the Hillywood process — developed over time through collaboration across disciplines, and brought together into a unified creative output. What the audience experiences is not a collection of separate acts, but the result of a journey that has been unfolding within the system.
